Masters of the Universe Classics

Re: Masters of the Universe Classics
Re: Masters of the Universe Classics
Mae yo ya quiero mi Adora! Está pero pichuda!
Según el review la Sword of Protection es más pequeña que la Sword of Power, qué raro

Re: Masters of the Universe Classics
Q linda la Adora. No puedo esperar más!
Ojalá la pegue ese fan. Tendría más sentido para mí.

Re: Masters of the Universe Classics
Moss Man Bio - Heroic Spy and Master of Camouflage
Real Name: KREANN’OT N’NOROSH
Thought of for many centuries to be an urban legend, the creature called “moss Man” was in fact an ancient Eternian nature god and ally to King Grayskull. During the rise of Skeletor and the subsequent battles with the Snake Men and Horde invaders, Moss Man often joined forces with the Masters of the Universe helping to protect freedom for all forms of life. He was instrumental in helping them win the Second Ultimate Battleground using his powers over plant life and his “fur” of forest green to fool and frustrate his wicked foes!
Maes y menciona Eternia The Ultimate Battle Ground!!
:bounce:

Re: Masters of the Universe Classics
Finally, in addition to the monthly figures and the bonus figures, we are also looking at doing a few larger items (like Battle Car or army builder 2 packs). These are also not included in the subscription simply because we do not know how many we are doing yet and they will range in price. Eventually we may include these skus in the 2011 subscription if their is enough fan interest in the 2010 skus.

Re: Masters of the Universe Classics
Quote:
Pendragon's Post
1) With Mattel unable to be able to produce certain Filmation Masters of the Universe figures, is there any sort of easy guideline so that fans can know which characters can and can't be produced in the line? Could you possibly produce a list or something?
In MOTU Classics you will see a character who had a figure (toy) in the 1981 MOTU line, 1985 POP line, 1989 NA line as well as characters who were in the 200X series TV show or toy line. We can also do figures who were in the Mattel Mini Comics.
4) You've said in a couple of recent Q&As that your intention was to eventually produce two Prince Adams, with one being based on the 80's toy and another closer to the 200X concept of the character. Can you tell us if the 80's Adam will merely be a bonus figure or will he be worked into the emerging MOTUC continuity. While I welcome the extra figure, I'm wondering how you would justify a second Prince Adam?
How a second Prince Adam will be offered is yet to be revealed. After all, we haven’t even offered one version yet. Unlike say with the case of Zodac/Zodak, Prince Adam is the same guy. It is just a “design” difference if you prefer him as a teen or a repaint of He-Man. So the bios will be just a continuation of one another as they aren’t intended to be separate characters.
Quote:
Kastor's Korner
Kastor: What are the height limits on MOTU figures? (We know that DCUC height limits are between 9 or 10 inches.)
Matty: The limits on DCUC figure are related to package size at retail, not how big a figure could be. With Mattycollector.com, we could ideally sell a figure at any size in a unique package, if there was enough fan demand for one.

That New Toy Smell
3) With Evil Lyn being named as the April figure, when will the rest of the years line-up be unveiled?
More 2010 figures will be shown at Collector Night on February 14th at New York Toy Fair.
4) Will Wun-Dar be shipping in February or March with the eternia map as it stated at SDCC that it would ship before March?
The plan is for Wun-Dar and the map are slated to ship in February!
5) I'd say that the He-Man and Skeletor reissues were a success. We know Beastman is on his way back. That said, is there any info on future MOTUC reissues? (Please say Stratos and King Grayskull!)
Yes, we do have plans to re-release some of the 2009 figures, but not all. Grayskull should be out again on a single card but not until the end of 2010. He will, however, have slight paint and accessory changes to differentiate him from the SDCC release!

It's All True
1. SilntAngl asks: I think I speak for most of the fans when I say that I love that MOTU Classics follows the blueprint of the vintage MOTU line, but is there room in the line for some new takes on old characters or some all-new characters? Something that we’ve never seen before like a Battle Armor Faker or an Evil Horde-counterpart for Extendar (that could make his parts reusable)?
This is a very cool idea and something we have discussed at Mattel. As the line extends into 2010 and beyond, we may just look into these types of possibilities and maybe add A-List bonus figures on a quarterly basis. What do you fans think? Would you prefer a Battle Armor Faker over* say, Dragon Blaster Skeletor as an A-list update? What say you?
2. Mr. Rant asks: Recently, Toy Guru gave He-Man.Org members the chance to weigh-in on the solution to the female MOTUC figures neck stability, but both choices would take something away from the figure. If the joint works successfully on the male figures, why can’t that technique be applied to the female figures? For my part, I can’t see a good reason to limit the articulation on a $20 figure.
The female neck is too thin to make the head both removable and fully articulated.

Cool Toy Review
Cool Toy Review: If/when you re-release Mer-Man might he be packaged wearing the alternate head? Seems like a win-win with MOC collectors and making him different from the original release.
Mattel: All of the re-releases for the Mattycollector.com line will have the same packout (it's a logistic thing). If we bring the line to retail (perhaps in a movie year) we will look at offering some existing figures on new packages and with modified decos and/or accessories and in new packouts. Ideally, even if the line goes to retail with some reissues it will continue with new figures on MattyCollector.com.

Figures.com
1) In regards to deluxe beasts in the MOTUc toy line, are you open to release any creatures from the different animtaed shows? (For example, the Griffing creature from the 200x series)
Quote:
We do not have access to the Filmation characters but any beasts in the 2002 series are fair game!
2) Are the Masters of the Universe display bases still on schedule for a February release and will they be sold in 3 packs similar to the 6" flight stands?
Quote:
The MOTU stands will be in packs of five and yes, they will be a February release.
3) You have confirmed that Beast Man will be re-released on January 15th but there has be no mention of what maodifications the figure will have. Can you share those changes with us?
Quote:
The only change on Beastman is the addition of a "The Original" burst to the front of the package.

The Fwoosh
2. Will Toy Guru still have some involvement in the DCUC, MOTUC and GB lines next year even though he is moving over to Green Lantern? One of the things that has been so nice about these lines is the consistency they have, some are nervous that might change going into next year.
Yes! While Toy Guru will be focusing on the Green Lantern movie line for the next year he will continue to manage MOTUC (its kinda been his pet project and he refused to let that go!) and he will act as an advisor on DCU and GB brands, especially in terms of fan relations and character selection. Maniac Mike Wilde will be taking over day-to-day management, but he sits right next to Scott and they work very close together.
5. Now that the MOTUC Zodak and Goddess figures have sold out in quick form, can you say with certainty now that the Bonus Figure program will continue into 2010?
The bonus figures were actually less of a “bonus” and intended more as our own “insurance” that at least one new figure would be available each month for subscribers. Faker was scheduled to be the first “bonus” figure, but since Mer-Man ran late, Faker needed to move into a monthly slot. We will have 3-4 additional figures (beyond the 12 monthly figures) in 2010 which will ship as “bonus” figures once per quarter if all of the main monthly figures run on time. If any monthly figures slip schedule, the “bonus” figure will be moved into that slot to make sure at least one new figure is available for subscribers or those buying that month. Going forward, all of the additional backup (or “bonus”) figures will be updates to A-List characters such as Battle Armor He-Man in Jan.
Re: Masters of the Universe Classics

Re: Masters of the Universe Classics

Neutralizer weapon make him one of the meanest mutants in the Tri-Solar
System.
Mission: To assist Skeletor and the rest of the Evil Mutants by keeping
his eye on He-Man and the Galactic Guardians from planet Primus.
Battle Equipment: Photon Neutralizer weapon.
