¿Y cuando fue que la espada, tras la muerte de He-Ro, se materializó? Sabemos que Grayskull lucha con la espada en el episodio de la serie 200x, pero en las bios, la espada pudo dejar su estado energético cuando Grayskull se fusiona a ella tras morir...

Todas esas son preguntas que me estoy muriendo que nos contesten.
Son interrogantes de mucho peso que aun no han sido explicadas.

Yo espero que si sea terricola. El nombre es amos del Universo no amos de Eternia y eso fue algo que no me gustaba de 200x. Que nunca quisieron explorar otros planetas ni dimensiones.

Eso es muy cierto. Eternia en 200x se sentía super pequeño mientras que en Filmation era enorme.

1) Some individuals were charged customs fees on the Weapons Pak and Evil Lyn together or Evil lyn and Wun-Dar together. How are we going to be affected with Tytus and other large scale figures being $40 and possibly custom charged with that and going forward with the all-in subscription?

We are always working on improving the custom fee issues. Many times this is out of our hands as we need to follow local custom requirements, something Mattel does not control.

2) Hasbro does a "Fan's Choice" figure in their Star Wars line. What is the possibility of doing something like this with MOTUC? Perhaps giving a list of possible character options to the fans then letting them vote on the one they want to see the most?

With MOTUC there is a much more limited character selection and we need to control the release order in terms of tooling availability as well as the information we reveal in the bios. So we won’t be offering a fan’s poll for this line. But in many ways EVERY figure is a fans choice. Just look at Optikk, we did him purely because he came up so much in fan polls!

3) Where did the "Space Mutants" logo design on Optikk's package come from? What was the influence?

The design is totally original, but it was inspired by “B movie” poster design of the 50s. Basically, I thought that the name SPACE MUTANTS lends itself to that type of design. However, the font for MUTANTS is the same Serif Gothic font that was used on MOTU packaging in the past. So, you have a homage to movies like “THEM” or “ATTACK OF THE 50 FOOT WOMAN” and a tie to MASTERS at the same time.

4) It seems figures such as Tytus have hit online auctions before their release. We understand that you probably can't comment on the matter much, but many have wondered if this will effect the number of figures that will actually be on sale on MattyCollector.com.

The illegal sale of stolen Mattel product will not affect the sale or number of figures sold on Mattycollector.com.

5) Many have epxressed dissapointment in the lack of articulation on Tytus. Is this a cost cutting measure? Any chance of seeing future giants have more articulation, or will they be basically the same build?

When we looked into doing Tytus we wanted to get as much articulation in as possible. We crunched the numbers and the only way to keep him under $100 was to use roto molding, which does limit some of the articulation. If there is enough interest in paying over $100 for Tytus we could look at an updated one down the road.

The 12" Movie Masters figure is a completely different style of figure. To do a highly articulated MOTUC style figure at 12" would be very expensive.

Why was Optikk the first character to be made from the New Adventures of He-Man and when can we look forward to He-Man or Skeletor versions based on the show?

Optikk came up the most in fan posts online! See, we do read the posts!

How is the Masters of the Universe film coming along and has there been any significant changes to the story/plot know that the picture is at Colombia Pictures?

We are very excited about a MOTU live action film but we can't comment on any details at this time! Stay tuned.

Sorry, we can’t comment on production runs, but we can say that if we sell out of the Mattycollector.com version we can certainly do a second run!

2. She-Ra has been named a huge A-List character, who could be refreshed a couple of times down the road. Did you mean the Starburst and Bubble Power variants or even She-Ra in her mutliple fantastic fashions? Wouldn't that be cool way to include some of these accessories?

Yup, both of those would be great ways to re-fresh the Princess of Power down the road.

3. In 1987 the Snakemen have been the main villains for the PoG toyline that died early. Do you know if there have been other Snakemen planned that fans don't know of? And if so, are there plans to include them into MotUC?

The only new figures planned for the 1987 line were He-Ro and Eldor. There were no additional Snakemen planned at the time. We checked!

4. Will we see the September and October figures before SDCC like we did last year? There's a lot of rumour going on about Roboto being the September figure. Any hints for the fans?

You will see the September figure at Wizard World Philly. Toy Guru will be in person to reveal him, her or it.

5. Some fans noticed that the promo-pictures on mattycollector often do not justice to the figures- Battle-Cat's saddle slit off his back, Optikk has two right hands and so on. Is there any way to improve these in the future or to remove them and take better ones?

Many times these images are of early prototypes, but we will do our best to update the images as much as possible!

1) Will the reissue of Teela include the same waist joint Evil-Lyn has?

The original figure had the same waist joint, it was just hard to move due to the stiff plastic used. Going forward all females will have the softer plastic Evil Lyn had.

2) Without revealing the name of the characters from September to the end of this year, what is the porportion of characters from the various brands? For example can we expect 2 charcaters from the vintage line, 1 from N.A and 1 from the POP.

Because release order is always up in the air, this isn’t something we can lock down. What we will say is the remaining four figures for 2010 will really help fill some gaps!

3) In June 2009 we got the ruthless leader of the Evil Horde "Hordak", where is the rest of his army? I mean when will the Horde characters come?

More Horde figures are on there way. Ideally, we will have at least one to show off at SDCC.

4) Without revealing the name of the 2011 Club Eternia subscription exclusive figure, can you give us some clews of him/her?

The club figure for 2011 is from a mini comic! That is all we will say until SDCC.

5) You said in previous Q&A that Mattel may work on a European logistical distribution, for the old continent residents who ordered on Mattycollector in order to reduce delay for the dellivery porcess. Is Mattel still working/thinking on it?

We are looking into this, but right now there simply is not enough demand from any one region outside of the US to justify a second distribution center. If this changes and demand increases we would love to keep exploring this option!

It is the symbol of his clan.

For the most part only the monthly figures will get print ads. We did one for Battle Cat to help promote the first “Beast Figure” and Keldor since he might have wound up a monthly figure if the September figure slipped. The ads are planned well in advance. Not every bonus figure will have a print ad.

4. Any update on the Zoar stand and armor - can you tell us if we can expect to see it in 2010?

We can’t confirm when, but it is coming eventually!

5. With technology growing so fast, has Mattel considered creating an iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad app that could be updated regularly with MOTUC character bios and pics? Could be a great opportunity!

Yes, this is something we are interested in exploring. Stay tuned!

me gusta la idea que haya diferentes planetas o dimensiones pero la conexion con el planeta tierra no tanto ,me gusta que los universos fantasticos no se mezclen con los elementos cotidianos u ordinarios de la tierra ,sobretodo despues de ver la motu movie del 87 .

es una lastima que la serie 200x no exploro las diferentes dimensiones pero eso se debe a que la serie no siguio ,ya que en la temp 3 y 4 hubieramos visto despondos ,etheria ,infinita .

si la base del canon motuc se esta basando en 200x probablemente no habra conexion con la tierra y marlena seria mitad gar .

Pero acordate que tambien usaron el nombre "terrestre" de Evil Lyn. Aun cabe la posibilidad que Marlena sea de la Tierra.
Lo bueno es que no sabemos en que epoca esta la tierra en MOTU. Sabemos que Marlena es astronauta pero el Rainbow Warrior no es una nave regular.
La Tierra siempre sera un misterio si solo dicen que Marlena es de ahí.

Yes, we have a new pak planned for later in 2010. It will be called “Great Wars” much as the first pack was called “Ultimate Battleground”.

interesantes las respuestas de mattel ,se viene un personaje de minicomic ,se viene otro hordiano ,otro weapons packs ,una figura 200x ,de la pelicula dijeron que no pueden dar ningun detalle todavia pero que estemos en sintonia .creo que la sdcc 2010 va hacer un festin de noticias para motu ,va estar bueno ser fan motu ,quiero la comic con yaaaaaa

Hahahaha claro claro!!!!!! A mi se me esta haciendo eterno el día del Comic Con.

No quiero participar de que evento me causa más anciedad, muy difícil son dos cosas muy distintas, voy a volcar mis sentidos en disfrutar ambos eventos tal y como se lo merecen.

Yo quiero ver más YA!!! Las noticias solo alimentan mi obsesion por tener todos los MOTUC ya. Creo que me quedaria tranquilo si mostraran todos los personajes que saldran hasta el 2016. Aunque sepa que no puedo adquirirlos hasta dentro de cinco años.
