Zack Snyder dirigirá Superman

Me acuerdo de esa película. Es en la que trabajaba Halle Berry como compañera ocasional de Bond.

Sobre Henry Cavill... no lo conocía, nunca vi "The Tudors", pero no me gusta como posible opción para interpretar a Superman.
Se parece DEMASIADO a un actor argentino muy mediocre llamado Mariano Martinez, en mi opinión uno de los peores actores del panorama televisivo de mi país. Sencillamente malísimo, sin atractivo, sin carisma, sin talento, un cero a la izquierda!
Y Cavill se el parece.

bueno King Cavill no es posible opcion el ya es la opcion definitiva asi que si estas sugentionado ya por el capas que no disfrutas la peli cuando salga y te recomiendo que veas los tudor para que se te quite el mal sabor de boca del otro actor que mencionas yo estoy ya por terminar la ultima temporada ( casualidad que la estaba viendo ahora que lo escojieron a el ) y man se la juega en el papel que interpreta

UK magazine SFX managed to grab a few words from director Zack Snyder about the up-coming Superman movie and his personal thoughts on the Man of Steel.

Though he's reluctant to give any details about the film, Snyder explains what attracted him to the project: "My feeling about Superman is that I've been a fan of the character for a long time. But the question for me was always, 'What can you do with Superman in a modern world?' And I think the amazing thing that Chris and David have created, that I'm working on now, and the reason why I was like, 'Yeah, I'll do that,' was that they found that in him. They found the why in him. That's the exciting part for me."

As for how this Superman movie will differ from those that have come before it...

"I can't really talk about that without being kind of specific," says Snyder. "But I can say I think Superman needs to be physical."

The new issue of Entertainment Weekly centers on upcoming superhero movies and features the first quotes from Henry Cavill on landing the lead role in Warner Bros.' new Superman movie. Here's an excerpt from the article:

Among the topics of discussion: Cavill’s audition, which included shooting a screen test wearing a replica of Christopher Reeve’s once impressive, now dated Superman suit. “If you can put on that suit and pull it off,” says Snyder, ‘that’s an awesome achievement.” Cavill was feeling less than super in the moment, at least about his ability to fill out the costume: He had just finished shooting a film with Bruce Willis called The Cold Light Of Day, and the part required to him to shed the impressive abs of steel and muscle tone he had put on for the movie he made right before that, the forthcoming mythic fantasy Immortals. As an assistant helped to him put on the Super-suit, Cavill recalls: “All I could think was: Oh, god. They’re going to look at me and go ‘He’s not Superman. Not a chance.’ The actor inside me was going: You’re not ready! You’re not ready!” Snyder saw something — or rather someone — different. “He walked out, and no one laughed,” says the director. “Other actors put that suit on, and it’s a joke, even if they’re great actors. Henry put it on, and he exuded this kind of crazy-calm confidence that just made me go ‘Wow.’ Okay: This was Superman.’”

Se ve bien con el traje? veremos entoces... se dieron cuenta de que se probó el traje ORIGINAL? será una pista? I hope so.

Kevin Costner Headed to Superman

Kevin Costner, who most recently appeared in The Company Men, is rumored today (via Deadline) to be up for a part in Zack Snyder's Superman reboot.

The potential role is unknown at this stage though some age-appropriate speculation could place Costner as Perry White, Jonathan Kent or General Sam Lane (Lois' father), among others.

Still best known for his work in the late '80s and early '90s on films like Bull Durham, Field of Dreams and Dances With Wolves, Costner has managed science fiction roles before in Waterworld and The Postman. This would mark his first comic book adaptation.

It looks like General Zod is the villain in ‘Superman: Man of Steel’ after all – and Viggo Mortensen is allegedly the top contender for the role.


As soon as it was announced that Henry Cavill had won the title role in director Zack Snyder’s Superman: Man of Steel, speculation immediately turned toward who might fill out the supporting cast. While some fans have been fixated on who could play Lois Lane, a bigger question has loomed ever since the Superman reboot was announced – who exactly would the big blue Boy Scout be squaring off against in the film?

A common complaint leveled against Bryan Singer’s Superman Returns was that there was an over-abundance of angst, but not a whole lot of action. Many seemed to believe that part of the problem was the decision to use Lex Luthor as the main villain once again. As iconic a foe as Luthor is, fans have been ready to see a Superman movie that features a more physically imposing adversary. If you’re one of them – it looks like you may finally be getting your wish.



A few months ago, Snyder denied rumors that General Zod would appear in Superman: Man of Steel . So naturally, a few of us were confused when it was revealed that the search was underway for an actress to play Ursa – one of Zod’s underlings. Well, it looks like Snyder may have intentionally tried to mislead us.

According to THR, General Zod IS the villain and Viggo Mortensen is currently the top choice for the role. Just like the Kevin Costner/Jonathan Kent situation, a few other names are also being kicked around – but Mortensen is the only one being “seriously discussed” by Snyder and producer Christopher Nolan.

Of course, Mortensen is also in negotiations for Universal’s Snow White and the Huntsman, but it’s possible that deal may not go through – which would leave no conflict with Superman‘s shooting schedule. It’s equally possible that Universal and Warner Bros. could work out an arrangement that would allow the in-demand actor to take part in both films.

At the very least, this seems to confirm that, regardless of who ultimately plays him, General Zod will be back on the big screen. Mortensen is a talented and versatile actor and there’s no doubt in my mind that we’d get a very different portrayal than Terence Stamp’s legendary take on the character.

To be honest, though – I’m slightly torn on this development. Don’t get me wrong – I love the idea of Mortensen as Zod, but I was sort of hoping that Superman: Man of Steel would further separate itself from previous films by utilizing a villain that had never appeared on-screen before. The fewer comparisons people can make to past adaptations, the better. It’s the same reason I argued against using Khan in Star Trek 2.

However, I get the feeling Snyder plans on turning a few established conventions on their head – so it’s likely that this incarnation of General Zod will be decidedly different from the one that appeared in Superman and Superman II.

There’s been a lot of talk about how Superman: Man of Steel brings a fresh and modern perspective to this mythology and I’m interested in finding out exactly how Zod will tie-in with that.

MovieHole.net made an off-the-cuff remark in their article on their reporting on the "Viggo Mortensen for Zod" rumor that Daniel Day-Lewis was also a person of interest for "an unspecified role" in the up-coming Superman movie, which has started speculation on whether Day-Lewis is also in the running for the role of the main villain in the movie... be it Zod or someone else.

Whether it's true or not, this wouldn't be the first time Day-Lewis' name has been tossed up in connection with a Superman film. In my 1999 interview with writer Mark Millar he made mention that he would have liked to see Day-Lewis as Superman. Five years later Millar, in a comment posted on his own personal website, had Day-Lewis as his top choice to play Jor-El. "All Star Superman" writer Grant Morrison told the Superman Homepage back in 1999 that he'd have liked to see Day-Lewis play Batman ("as the classic Neal Adam's Batman") opposite Ben Affleck as Superman in a film.
